Education vision
Portus schools offer education at every level: from pre-vocational secondary education (vmbo-basis) to pre-university education (atheneum). As part of the Association for Christian Education in Rotterdam and the surrounding area (CVO), our mission and vision align with the five principles of CVO. Within Portus, we translate these principles into our vision as follows:

Everyone counts and belongs, regardless of faith or background. Portus schools offer all young people confidence in and perspective on a good future. Where possible, we provide extra support for students who need it.

All Portus schools offer a challenging learning environment. Students are encouraged and receive effective and constructive feedback on their learning process.

As a learning organization, we seek a clear connection between our vision on education and our personnel policy. What we want for our students, we also want for our staff. "Learning and development" are our key words, because well-trained and developed staff increase the quality of education. A Portus employee takes the helm.
